The Kimberley Forest Committee and team of volunteers have been hard at work so far this summer making steps to improve the forest trails for all users.
Take a quick glance below at what has been accomplished so far!
June 19 – Committee receives Burnside’s Feasibility Study for bridge over the Beaver River.
June 20 – Installed first Map posts. Three new on Lower Loop. Maps to be installed once finalized.
June 21 – Lower grass trails cut with walk-behind mower.
June 22 – Grass trails on Upper Loop cut with walk behind mower in a thunder storm. Three additional map posts installed
June 29 – Trail Crew brushed out BVSC black snowshoe single track trail, brushed out about 50% of new single track in mid level.
July 4 – Meeting with Municipality of Grey Highlands to discuss bridge Feasibility Study.
July 8 – Review alternative proposed parking location on Grey Road 30.
July 12 – Install more Map Posts.
July 13 – Complete brushing out old mid-level single track trail. Flag and start brushing single track bypass on mid-level trail.
July 27 – Committee members to staff a booth at Flesherton Farmer’s Market.
