Volunteers Install Bridges on Mid-Level Trails

Drainage and water management is a primary point of concern for the Friends of the Kimberley Forest.

Controlling runoff and bypassing wet sections of trail are essential steps in rehabilitating and creating a sustainable trail network.

The section of trail from Map Post M8 to Map Post M4 has been identified as a primary area of concern. Teams of volunteers have taken to this section of trail over the past few weeks to install a series of bridges intended to span sections of trail where there is clear evidence of substantial water runoff.

We want to give a huge amount of thanks to all the volunteers who have contributed time and materials to this project.
